The proposed cases offer participants an opportunity to try different professional roles and temporarily become specialists in the areas that interest them as a possible future profession.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I solve cases with a team?

No. Cases offered as part of the Sakhalin Energy Case Championship are supposed to be solved and defended individually.

Students of which years are able to take part in the Championship?

The Championship is open to all Master’s students, as well as Bachelor’s and Specialist students in their third year of study or higher.

Students of which specialities can join the Championship?

Students of the following specialities are invited to participate:

· Process and Production Automation;
· Oil and Gas Machinery and Equipment;
· Oil and Gas Field Development and Exploitation;
· Compressors, Machine Dynamics and Durability;
· Gas-Turbine and Steam-Turbine Units and Engines;
· Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering;
· Chemical Engineering;
· Offshore Field Development;
· Oil and Gas Engineering;
· Oil and Gas Well Drilling;
· Offshore Field Development;
· Technosphere Safety.

I have never participated in such championships. What skills do I need?

The cases are written in such a way that they can be solved without a specialised background, but rather with the application of analytical skills and knowledge gained through study. We recommend choosing a case that matches your university speciality. After receiving the assignment, you will have an opportunity to consult with the case author.
